For rehabilitation of the Main Street Bridge over the Nottawasaga River. The Main Street Bridge, constructed circa 1960, is located west of River Road East, over the Nottawasaga River, and comprises a section of Main Street at the entrance to Beach Areas 1 and 2. a) Removal of existing expansion joints and conversion to semi-integral, b) Modifications to abutments and wingwalls to accommodate semi-integral conversion, c) Refacing of existing abutments, d) Partial length full depth removal and replacement of existing concrete deck and sidewalks, e) Partial depth concrete removal and patching of concrete on bridge deck, soffit and wingwalls, f) Concrete removal and overlay of existing sidewalks and curb faces on bridge, g) Minor widening of bridge deck/sidewalk, h) Partial length removal and replacement of existing structural steel i) Coating (painting) of existing and new structural steel, j) Replacement of abutment bearings, k) Removal and replacement of existing approach slabs, l) Construction of new sleeper slabs at ends of approach slabs, m) Removal and replacement of bridge deck drains n) Removal and replacement of bridge barrier system o) Installation of new street lighting and navigation lights on bridge p) Removal of existing watermain on north side of bridge and replacement with new watermain on the south side, q) Removal and replacement of bridge deck waterproofing, r) Full depth removal of asphalt and repaving on bridge and approaches, s) Replacement of sidewalk and curb and gutter on bridge approaches, t) Installation of new steel beam guide rail on bridge approaches, u) Pavement markings from River Road East to 6th Street to accommodate new bike lanes, and v) Site restoration including topsoil and sodding of all disturbed areas *Contract award amount was not released for publication.
