Site work for a civil project in Racine, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project involves approximately 1,300 L.F. of 42-inch diameter water main, butterfly valves, hydrants and leads, 700 L.F. of 8-inch sanitary force main, erosion control, asphalt and concrete pavement repair, pavement marking, traffic control and restoration. Completion Date: 10/01/2019 All Work is included in a single prime contract. Bid proposals from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE), Small Businesses Enterprise (SBA), Service Disabled Veteran and or Veteran-owned Business (SDV/SVB), are encouraged. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must qualify for 2019. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to Racine Water Utility equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to Racine Water Utility as liquidated damages. The Racine Water and Wastewater Utility reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes.
