For Gate E-50 and Checkpoint Charlie Development at Orlando International Airport This project is to construct the Security Checkpoint known as Checkpoint Charlie. The improvements include, but are not limited to, installation of a new electronic access point in the secure Fence (Gate E-50), a vehicle and personnel inspection station, and other associated improvements in a permanent location just south of the intersection Cargo Road and Casa Verde Road. A complete examination and understanding of the drawings and specifications contained in the Bid Documents is necessary in order for the Bidder to properly submit a Bid. The Bid Documents also include a detailed set of Instructions to Bidders. All Bids shall be prepared in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The failure to comply with any requirement contained in the Bid Documents may result in the rejection of the Bid as non-responsive or a finding that the Bidder is unqualified for this Project. The time of completion for this Work is anticipated to be 220 calendar days to achieve Substantial Completion; exact time requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders. A Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the sum of the Total Bid Price will be required for this Project. Exact Bid Guarantee period requirements are defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
