Renovation of a municipal facility in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 87,623-square-foot, six-story above grade municipal facility.
As of September 6,2019 This project has not yet been awarded. The work contemplated will include complete interior renovation of a historic (1916) 105,000 SF building. The building has a parking garage, ground floor, and 1-5 floors. There are renovation divisions 1-28 on almost every level. Prospective Bidders should pre-register with DTW Architects at the contact noted below in order to be e-mailed a link to download the project manual and bid documents and to receive a list of bidders. Contractors may secure document sets after 8:30 A.M., until 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. Contractors who bid must be licensed to do work in the State of North Carolina under the Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting. The Contractors North Carolina License number shall be designated on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000.00. Bids will be evaluated and the Contract will be awarded in accordance with statutory public contract requirements as supplemented or altered by the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Utilization Ordinance of the County of Durham (M/WBE). The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive informalities, and/or accept such bid as appears in its judgement to be in the best interest of the County Section includes general requirements and procedures for compliance with certain USGBC LEED prerequisites and credits needed for Project to obtain LEED Silver or Gold certification based on LEED V4 Interior Design and Construction Current Edition. The Design Team, Owner and Owner's Commissioning Agent will be entering into the LEED website all credits for the project.
