Eden Juron, executive director of the Evanston History Center, said the group is slated to receive $270,000 in state money. Those funds will help pay for a new front entrance at the Charles Gates Dawes House, 225 Greenwood St. "The house is magnificent and we've done so much work to restore it," Juron said, noting the revamped entryway will be part of a $4 million undertaking to fix up the home. "This will be a really impactful project." As of June 12, 2019, information regarding a design team and a general contractor is not available.
