Invitation for Bids ("IFB") - Atrium Painting & Repairs (BRA Project #50850) located at 2 Boylston Street, Boston MA 02210. The Boston Redevelopment Authority, d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (the "BRA") invites sealed competitive bids from the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance ("DCAMM") certified Painting bidders for the Atrium Painting & Repairs (BRA Project #50850), (hereinafter, the "Project"), located at 2 Boylston Street, Boston MA 02116, the China Trade Center. All bids for this Project are subject to all applicable provisions of law, including without limitation, Sections 39F, and 39K through 39P of Chapter 30 and Chapter 149 Sections 29 and 44A-44J, inclusive of the Massachusetts General Laws, as may be amended, and shall be in accordance with the terms and provisions of the bid documents. Scope of Work: The work generally consists of preparing surfaces and painting the interior of the 7-story atrium at the China Trade Center. Paint surfaces include all walls, ceilings, wood window frames, cast iron columns, beams, catwalks, pipes, radiator fin tube, etc. Further tasks include: Perform selective removal of ceiling drywall at skylights; allow BRA's engineer to inspect wood framing and repair wood framing as directed by the engineer and replace all damaged drywall. Remove and install new vinyl wall graphics or preserve and protect for reuse. Caulk and seal wood window sash. Provide access to allow BRA's mechanical system maintenance vendor to inspect and repair radiation system piping as necessary. The BRA reserves the right to waive any and all minor informalities in the bidding or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so. Execution of the resulting contract will be contingent on availability of funds. Rule for Award: The resulting contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. Inclusion & Equity: This IFB is open to any qualified bidders who would like to respond. The BRA encourages participation from small, local, minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses.
