As of December 6, 2023, per the owner, this project is being completed through a job order contract. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: This project will repurpose existing spaces, creating new galleries and interactive public spaces, new offices, and a relocation of the museum entrance at the i.d.e.a. Musuem.The proposed renovations may include: o Relocating the main office space on the first floor to the warehouse which would open additional exhibit space. o A redesign of the second-floor offices and exterior atrium. o A relocation of the main entrance. o Adding new classrooms, gift shop, and cafe spaces. o The addition of a roof top terrace and skywalk. The scope may include design renderings and presentations to City Executive staff. Pending the results of the 15% design, the project will be developed in phases to complete the overall renovation of the Museum. Construction of the first phase is scheduled for Fall of 2022.
