Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Montvale, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As Of July 26, 2019 Project has been awarded. Award amount is $1,074,804.50.** The project includes one (1) Base Bid that consists of the milling of approximately 56,500 SY of asphalt, paving of approximately 9,675 tons of surface course asphalt and other miscellaneous roadway upgrades on various roads throughout the Borough. The project also includes five (5) Alternate Bids. Alternate Bid 'A' consists of installation of four (4) speed humps on Memorial Drive, Alternate Bid 'B' consists of the installation of 1,000 LF of concrete curb, 100 LF of granite block curb and 100 CY of excavation unclassified throughout various roadways in the Borough and Alternate Bids 'C', 'D', and 'E' consist of the same scope of work described in the Base Bid on an additional three (3) streets. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal forms in the manner designated in the Contract documents, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the name of the project on the outside and be addressed to the Borough of Montvale and must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the municipality and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of "Borough of Montvale" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Owner in a lawful manner. The Owner or the Engineer reserves the right to require a complete financial and experience statement from prospective bidders showing that they have satisfactorily completed work of the nature required before furnishing proposal forms or specifications, or before awarding the Contract. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner. Further, the Owner reserves the right to abandon the project and reject the bids entirely if any legal or state or federal administrative action is taken against the Owner which could delay or jeopardize the project from commencing. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications.
