UES Project No. 0430.1500148.0000 Sealed bid proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, services and equipment for the project entitled Improvements to Terminal Apron, and Apron/Taxilane for South Hangars at New Smyrna Beach Municipal Airport This project (if both bid schedules are awarded) includes removing approximately 2,900 square yards of existing asphalt and concrete pavement, constructing approx. 4,800 square yards of asphalt pavement, constructing approx. 7,200 square yards of concrete pavement, performing drainage improvements, grassing unpaved areas, marking the pavements, installing aircraft tie-down anchors, relocating taxiway edge lights, and installing airfield guidance signs. No proposals may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled time for receipt of proposals. The City of New Smyrna Beach reserves the rights to waive any informalities in or reject any and all bid proposals, or to re-advertise for bid proposals. Bid proposals must be submitted as set forth in the "Instructions to Bidders" and in the "Proposal Requirements and Conditions" included in the Contract Documents. It is required that the bid security be enclosed in a separate envelope, as provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The award of this Contract will be contingent upon the concurrence of the Florida Department of Transportation. If both Bid Schedules 1 and 2 are awarded, the scheduled contract (construction) time shall be 180 calendar days. If only Bid Schedule 1 is awarded or only Bid Sch. 2 is awarded, the scheduled contract time shall be 120 calendar days. Regardless, the contract time shall commence on the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), which will be issued after all permits have been obtained.
