The Public Works Department is charged related Rehabilitation Projects. Funding for this specific Slater Road & Osgood Avenue Traffic signal. This traffic is was originally installed in the 1970's and is far beyond its design life and requires many service calls. This is a busy intersection given its proximity to 3 schools and would realize significant traffic operation improvements if it were replaced. As of November 30, 2023, this project is included in the City of New Britain's Fiscal Year 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and funding for construction is allotted for FY 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
