Site work for a water / sewer project in Mercer Island, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project covers approximately 900 linear feet of shoreline from the waterfront plaza to the swim beach. Restoration work includes anchoring large woody debris, adding rock spawing gravel, invasive plant control, plantings including brush layering, and temporary irrigation (which will be repurposed to irrigate the swim beach with lake water). The project also includes relocating the shoreline trail away from the eroding shoreline and constructing it with accessible grades and surfacing. Target Completion Date Q4 2023 Project is included in the City of Mercer Island's FY 2023-2027 CIP. Per the owner, as of February 21, 2023, a design team and a general contractor have been selected. Owner states that construction is anticipated to begin in mid-March 2023. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
