Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Brandon, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

1. Remove existing door and frame and prepare the area for new installation. The Contractor shall be responsible for all preparation work required for the new installation. 2. Supply and install steel door and frame: a. Quantity: one (1) b. Approximate size: 35.5"x83" c. Commercial grade to withstand high traffic and rugged use d. CSA approved and minimum 90 minute fire rating. Indicate fire rating on the Bid Form e. 18 gauge steel preferred. Indicate gauge on Bid Form f. Insulated g. Commercial door closer and hardware h. Door to be primed i. Commercial weather stripping j. Hinges k. Georgian style wired Category II 6" X 20" glass insert with a fire rating of up to 90 minutes. Indicate fire rating on the Bid Form l. Metal threshold 3. Supply hardware such as, but not limited to, hinges, weather stripping, etc., to complete the Work. 4. Disconnect and remove electric door strike from existing door frame and re-install and connect in the new door frame. Other electrical components that may require disconnection for the Contractor to complete the Work will be disconnected and reconnected by the City upon completion of the work. 5. The Contractor shall re-install existing door handle and locking mechanisms on the new door. 6. The Contractor shall provide the City with one (1) week's notice prior to commencement of the Work. Bid will be received By Mail/Courier delivery: Addressed to the City of Brandon as follows: Lindsay Loree, SCMP Procurement Manager City of Brandon - Finance Department 410 - 9th St., Brandon, Manitoba R7A 6A2. By Fax Delivery: Faxed submissions are not accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Quotations, the City in its sole discretion may reject as non- compliant any Quotation which contains omissions, erasures; is ambiguous or unclear as to meaning or intent; is incomplete, illegible, conditional or contains a qualifier; contains any non-requested alterations or additions to the information provided by the City; is obviously unbalanced; or fails to comply sufficiently with the Instructions to Bidders. The City may, in its sole discretion, waive any and all defects, informalities, and accept any Quotation, as compliant, which it considers is in the best interest of the City of Brandon. The City reserves the right to cancel this Quotation at any time. The Award of the Quotation, if it is to be awarded, shall be made within sixty (60) calendar days of the date on which the Bids were opened, unless an extension of the said sixty (60) days is mutually agreed upon in writing between one or more Bidders and the City. Should no award be made within the said sixty (60) days or within any mutually agreeable extension thereof, then all Bidders shall be relieved of any obligation to enter into a Contract. The award of the Quotation will not be binding until the successful Bidder has received written notification of the award of the Quotation from the Procurement Manager of the City of Brandon. No other act of the City shall constitute an award of the Quotation. The award of the Quotation shall fall under the governing laws of the Province of Manitoba. The lowest or any Quotation will not necessarily be accepted.
