Site work and paving for a road / highway in Blackhawk, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**The project will begin in mid August. The work consists of performing the following, including but not limited to slurry seal in streets as designated on the Plans. Related items of work include, but are not limited to: construction signage;concrete curb and gutter replacement; base failure repairs; edge drains, drain inlet, raising and adjusting of utility covers and manholes to grade; adjust city monument; crack sealing; replace vehicle loop detectors; pavement striping and markings; and all other work necessary for a complete project in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The contract completion period shall be forty (40) Working Days. The engineer's estimate for cost of construction is approximately $1.00 Million Bid proposals from Bidders who are not on the Plan Holders List will not be accepted. Questions regarding the bid documents should be directed to Daniel Chavarria, Project Manager, Engineering Services Department (925) 973-2681 or (925) 973-2670 All bids and supporting documents will become the property of the City of San Ramon and upon selection of the successful bidder and before award of the contract, all bids and supporting documents will become public records and subject to disclosure as required by the California Public Records Act.Proposals shall be on standard forms which may be obtained from the office of the City Engineer and shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond of ten percent (10%) of the amount of thebid submitted to be made payable to the City of San Ramon. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, supervision, materials, tools, plant and equipment for the construction of all items shown on the Plans and Specifications for a complete and functional project.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of contract price and a payment bond in the amount not less than one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. At the successful contractor's option, securities may be substituted for the required retention, in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the State of California Public Contracts Code. All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division 3 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California to do the type of work contemplated in the project and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the contract. The Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded. The Contractor and all subcontractors performing work in connection with this project must pay all laborers, workmen, and mechanics on said work, or any part thereof, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for day, legal holidays and overtime work for work of a similar character in the location where the work is performed as set forth within the appropriate General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California, in accordance with Section 1770 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with theDepartment of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations, The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive irregularities in bids and the bid procedure as the public good may require.
