The scope of Work may be generally described as follows: Reconstruction of 2862 linear feet of Island Pond Road, commencing at or about the Atkinson-Hampstead municipal boundary and extending southeasterly to the limits of Work situated approximately 100 linear feet northwesterly of the Island Pond Road Brookside Terrace intersection as shown on the Drawings. More specifically, the Work includes: clearing and grubbing; common excavation and grading of roadside embankment and ditches; reclaimed stabilized base, processed in place to a depth of 8"; furnishing and installing under drain; miscellaneous drainage repairs and improvements; furnishing and installing crushed stone fine gradation; fine grading; furnishing and installing hot bituminous pavement; furnishing and installing guardrail; pavement marking and striping; traffic control; erosion control; loaming, seeding and turf establishment; miscellaneous work and clean up, all as shown on the Drawings or as ordered by Owner. Keach-Nordstrom Associates, Inc. of Bedford, New Hampshire is the project engineer. All Bids for this project must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked Bid for Island Pond Road - Road Improvements - 2019, and be received at the above address The successful BIDDER must furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a separate one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond prior to execution of the Contract Agreement within ten (10) days following notification of the acceptance of his/her bid. No bid security shall be required. The project will be awarded to the CONTRACTOR who is the most reasonable and responsible low bidder. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, or to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER. No BIDDER may withdraw his/her bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
