Work to be done under this Contract generally comprises of: Rock slope remediation works of the Sikanni rock slopes. The site is located at approximately Km 255 on the Alaska Highway between Fort St. John and Fort Nelson, BC. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1.) Contract submittals. 2.) Supply and maintain all traffic control for the duration of the works. 3.) Mobilize and demobilize all personnel, equipment, materials, and other resources to execute the work. 4.) Supply or complete quality control and blasting consultant for tasks specified. 5.) Carry out the work in the order of priority specified in the Contract Drawings, or as determined by the Departmental Representative. 6.) Provide Rock Scaling, Trimming, Rock Bolting, drain installation, removal and replacement of rockfall netting, Common Excavation, and other related works. 7.) Restore the disturbed areas of the Alaska Highway and Sikanni Chief Maintenance Yard following construction. 8.) Assess, with the Departmental Representative, the work to be undertaken at each location. 9.) Manage the project in accordance with Section 01 31 00 - Project Management and Coordination. 10.) Take responsibility for all aspects of site safety in accordance with Section 01 35 33 - Health and Safety. 11.) Coordinate work with Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and other contractors who may be working in or near the project area. TIMELINE: Soliciation was Cancelled.
