The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. Design/Build Project for Fiber Optic Network Installation Between Milepost 247.40 and Milepost H-42.70 in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks, Chester, Montgomery and Bucks Counties Fiber Optic Network Installation Between Milepost 247.40 and Milepost H-42.70 in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to design and construct a fiber optic network from the Commissions TIP Building (MP 247.4) to the Delaware River Bridge (MP H-42.7). Work items include, but are not limited to: Design of fiber optic network to include a backbone and distribution fiber optic cable to various demarcations sites, including installing racks in buildings. Design, procure, and install all required fiber optic cable, conduit, crossings, and junction boxes. Install, splice, and test fiber optic cable as required. Design, procure, and construct conduit and cable attachments to structures. Obtain all applicable permits. Conduct agency and utility coordination as required. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Erosion and Sedimentation Control Milepost 247.4 is located in the vicinity of the Harrisburg East Interchange, Exit 247, and Milepost H-42.7 is located approximately 0.5 miles west of the Delaware River, in Dauphin, Lebanon, Lancaster, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties. The proposal and plans are published electronically in EBS and are available to registered business partners for downloading and printing. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
