Site work for a water / sewer project in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water pump station.

The work includes the installation of a Roof Liner atop Provin Mountain Reservoir No. 2 (Provin 2), and the permanent hydraulic isolation of Provin Mountain Reservoir No. 1 (Provin 1) from the remainder of the Provin Mountain Reservoir system in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications. For the Provin 2 Roof Liner, the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: installation of a new roof liner atop the Provin 2 concrete water storage tank consisting of a geomembrane, geocomposite drainage net, and topsoil; achieving required grades; installation of new components and modifications to site storm water drainage system; structural monitoring to ensure integrity of Provin 2 throughout the construction period; site restoration; and disinfection of Provin 2 prior to reactivation. For Provin 1 Isolation, the work includes but is not necessarily limited to: demolition, construction of concrete walls, concrete repairs, removal of concrete floor panel and installation of replacement access grate, and mechanical work, all in the Provin 1 Inlet Gate House vault; and, disconnection of a 50 foot length of 36" diameter cast iron (CI) stagnant water line at the Gate Valve Chamber vault by cutting and removing a section of 42" x 36" steel reducer, manufacturing and welding on a cap, installation of replacement air release valve, filling of abandoned 36" CI pipe section with flowable fill, disinfection prior to returning to service, and removal/reinstallation of concrete access floor panels. Work will be conducted with Provin 1 and Provin 2 dry, and with Provin Mountain Reservoir Nos. 3 and 4 remaining on-line throughout construction as a critical component of Owner's water distribution system storage.
