MBE/FBE Subcontracting and Supplier Goals Apply Chicago State University is a public University located in the City of Chicago. The purpose of this project is removal and replacement of existing taller 50 ft. poles and retrofitting shorter 20-25 ft. poles with new LED luminaires. This includes parking lot lighting, CSU Drive lighting and Central square lighting. Existing wiring, conduits and handholes are not intended to be replaced for the shorter poles. New light to be installed before existing lighting is removed to minimize outage to site lighting. At no point in time is the site to be without lighting. Work to be stage so that only one lighting controller is affected at a time. Coordinate all parking lot outages with the owner. Site lighting for soccer fields to be completed first. If alternate number one is chosen, include work with soccer fields. B. Alternate bid number one is to provide new light poles adjacent to tennis court. he contractor shall complete all work through Substantial Completion in accord with the contract within 240 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Authorization to Proceed and shall complete all remaining work in accordance with the contract (Final Acceptance) within 45 consecutive calendar days from the date of Substantial Completion. he project consists of the design of approximately 216 light pole foundations in Chicago, Illinois. The general site area is shown on the attached Vicinity Map, Figure 1 in Appendix A. The approximate locations of the borings performed for this study are presented as the Boring Location Plan, Figure 2 in Appendix A.
