Prequalification Required: Yes Project involves construction of a water pumping station including concrete, masonry, roofing, building architectural components, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, process mechanical, water main, excavation, backfill, pavement, fencing, and landscaping. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be examined at the offices of Racine Water Utility and the Consulting Engineer during regular business hours. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. Bid proposals from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE), Small Businesses Enterprise (SBA), Service Disabled Veteran and or Veteran-owned Business (SDV/SVB), are encouraged. The Racine Water and Wastewater Utilities reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. Racine Water and Wastewater Utilities Bidders are responsible for delivery of the Bidders Qualification statement to the office of the Racine Water and Wastewater Utilities at least 5 days before the Bid opening date. All Bidders must qualify for 2019. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to Racine Water and Wastewater Utilities as liquidated damages. Bids received from entities who are not Plan Holders of Record may be returned as being nonresponsive.
