The project includes the installation of approximately 3500 lf of 6 inch water line to replace the existing 4" cast iron water line along a portion of Water Street, Edwards Street, and Riverview Street. Tie in the existing water line along Magnolia Street into new waterline along Water Street. Abandon the existing 4 inch cast iron water line in place. Reconnect all existing water services. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond by an acceptable surety company of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner, Town of Belhaven. A Performance and a Payment Bond will be required for the successful bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the work under this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure. Bidders shall have a verifiable ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority businesses in the total value of work. EPA MBE/WBE participation goals: MBE 10.9% WBE 10.4% State of NC MBE/WBE participation goal: 10% (combined) The Project consists of the construction of approximately 4050 linear feet of PVC waterline. Connect the exisiting waterline along Magnolia Street to the new waterline along E Water Street. Abondan the old cast iron waterline within the project area.. Copies of the Contract Documents may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office upon non-refundable payment of $100.00 per set, payable to Stroud Engineering, P.A. plus a nonrefundable shipping charge of $50.00 if shipping is requested ($150.00 total). Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within _90_ calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within _30_ calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
