The Work includes the rehabilitation of Well No. 12, along with the addition of a variable frequency drive at Well No. 23. The Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 10% of the Bidder's maximum Bid price. The City of Fond du Lac reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any technicality, and to accept any Bid which it deems advantageous. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 85 days after the time set for receiving Bids. Contract award shall be made based on the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder. No bid will be opened unless the "Bidder's Proof of Responsibility" for 2019 is filed with the City of Fond du Lac at least five days before the scheduled time for opening the bids. Reference is made to Section 66.0901(2) and (3) Wisconsin Statutes. The Director of Public Works' decision as to qualifications shall be final. Contractors that are already prequalified with the City in 2019 do not need to prequalify again.
