Contracts may be awarded to each responsive, responsible bidder that meets the requirements and specifications. We now accept electronic bids for those bid packages posted on the online website. Electronic bids do not have to be accompanied by paper bids. Please note: the Department will accept a facsimile of the bid bond; however, the original hid bond must then be received at the MDOT Contract Section within 72 hours of the bid opening. Until further notice, dual bids (one paper, one electronic) will be accepted, with the paper copy taking precedence. The lowest responsive bidder must demonstrate successful completion of projects of similar size and scope to be considered for the award of this contract.
