Renovation of the organ regeneration lab for Toronto General Hospital. UHN is planning to readjust /redefine few spaces within the Surgical Suite located on the 2nd floor of TGH in order to establish the ORL project (consisting of 2 new procedure rooms & 1 islet equipment room) to perform the transplant organ regeneration activity. 1- The new two procedure rooms and Islet equipment room are to be created in the space currently occupied by rooms, 2PMB181 to 2PMB183, in the south-east corner to the surgical suite (across from OR#5 and #6). Currently, 2PMB181 is occupied by the Perfusion team; 2PMB182 is occupied by the Anesthesia team, while 2PMB183 is a shared storage space. 2- To accommodate the displaced Perfusion and Anesthesia team, an existing equipment room (2PMB210) will be reconfigured to accommodate the Perfusion Room 3- A new Anesthesia workroom will be created from two existing offices (2PMB135 & 2PMB136) and a portion of a corridor/hallway (2PMB807.) The design-build team to provide all services and expertise required to complete: 1- A limited Renovation work around 1001 sf to establish Organ Regeneration Lab (ORL). 2- A limited Renovation work to an existing area of around 575 sf to establish Anethesia section, 3- A limited Renovation work to an existing area of around 245 sf to establish a Perfusion Room 4- A limited Renovation work to an existing are of around 110 sf to establish a Rotem Lab. 5- The above Renovation works requires limited alterations to some of the areas adjacent to the above spaces. Any proposal submitted in response to this RFP should outline the design, development, and construction services for the new ORL renovation spaces (mentioned above) on the 2nd floor of the Surgical Operating Room (OR) Suite of the Toronto General Hospital (TGH) - 200 Elizabeth Street, Toronto, On, M5G-2C4. *Award amount was not released for publication.
