Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marion, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Pursuant to NC General Statues 143-129, sealed bids will be received by the City of Marion for the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment and construction of the Lincoln Avenue Culvert Replacement, consisting of one contract having the following principal items: Replacement of the Lincoln Avenue Culvert consists of construction of approximately 60 feet of 10.5x12 RCBC. Additionally, this will require other drainage, curb & gutter, paving, and waterline relocation. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposed overall bid amount must accompany each proposal in order to be considered. The Bid security may be in the form of cash, a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Marion, a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an acceptable Surety Agency licensed to conduct business in North Carolina. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening except as may be allowed under North Carolina General Statutes. Contractors must be pre-qualified as a Bidder or PO Prime Contractor prior to bidding on this Project. Bidders shall submit all questions during the advertisement period to Ricky Tipton, PE, PLS, (rtipton@gfnet.com). Questions will be answered via Addenda as outlined in these Contract Documents. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive formalities, to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. The BIDDER to whom a contract may be awarded shall fully comply with the requirements of all North Carolina General Statutes governing the practice of general contracting. No BIDDER may withdraw his BID within 90 calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
