Rosedale Area Reliability Project-Modifications to Barber Substation.This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for above- and below-grade construction to modify Barber Substation, located in southeast Kansas City, Kansas. Scope includes demolition of steel structures and 69kV equipment, relocation of an existing 161kV transformer, as well as installation of new concrete foundations, ground grid, control cable, 15kV power cables, conduit, trench, surface grading rock, steel structures, equipment pedestals, 15kV switchgear enclosure, relay panels in existing control house, and 161kV air-insulated power equipment (e.g. circuit breakers, buswork, jumpers, insulators, CVTs, and surge arresters). The work zone will include energized existing 161kV facilities. Major equipment will be supplied by KCBPU, and the Proposer shall offload these goods under the supervision of manufacturers' representatives. The Proposal shall also include "balance of plant" materials needed to complete the job based on KCBPU's drawings/specifications as well as applicable codes, standards, and industry best-practices. The Proposer shall be responsible for off-site staging locations of their equipment as needed. Bid Bond 5%
