Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Graettinger, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The site for the proposed project is located approximately 1/4th mile north of 320th Street on the east side of River Road in Palo Alto County, Iowa. Sealed bids received for the Project will be presented to and considered by the Board of Directors at a meeting to be held at the Water System Office, on the 30th day of April at 7:30 o’clock p.m., and will be acted upon by the Board of Directors at such meeting or at such later time and place as may then be fixed. The extent of the WORK involved consists generally of:Construction of a new water treatment plant for iron and manganese removal and softening with a finished water capacity of 625 gpm. The project includes a pre-engineered steel building, masonry block interior walls, precast concrete interior roof, forced draft aerator, two steel vertical pressure filters, chemical feed systems, line shaft turbine pumps, HVAC, electrical, generator, reverse osmosis equipment installation, earthen ponds, site work and miscellaneous appurtenant work. The reverse osmosis equipment, vendor and equipment have been procured by the owner.The equipment contract will be assigned to the general contractor. The work will consist of providing Design Phase and Construction Phase Services, Reverse Osmosis equipment and Clean-In-Place equipment as described in the technical specifications of this project manual.
