Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of September 12, 2025, construction has commenced on the first two bid packages. Bid Packages 1, 2 and 3 have closed. No further trades are needed for those packages. The previous solicitation is for reference purposes only. The Construction manager has begun releasing GMPs. There will be a total of eight (8) GMP packages covering the typical water/ waste water construction needs. Each GMP will be listed separately. At the time each work package is released, the interested sub contractor will be required to go through the same prequalification process as the construction manager did prior to award. Sub prequalification will be contained within the bid packages. Construction of the first GMP is expected to begin Fall 2025. However, site work is expected to start Summer 2025. Substantial completion for all projects is expected May 2031. There will be two parts to each work package to be submitted together using a Competitive Sealed Proposal process. 1. The prequalification documentation. 2. The bid for said trade within the work package. Each bid will then be scored to determine the best qualified subcontractor for each trade. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. --- The City of Austin anticipates selecting a qualified professional engineering firm (Consultant) to provide planning, design, and construction phase services for the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Expansion to 100 million gallons per day (MGD).
