Renovation of a municipal facility in Hudson Falls, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Summary: 1. Limited demolition to include enlarged openings 2. An attached elevator with lobby and links to main bldg. & new electric 3 phase 3. Revise rear building entrance & reconfig existing stairs 4. Handicapped washroom on 1st & 2nd floors 5. Partial level floor in 2nd floor courtroom 6. Subfloor & finished flooring in 2nd floor courtroom & associated spaces 7. New fire rated doors & transom panels. 8. Insulated drapes at windows 9. Repair, adjust & rearrange existing benches in courtroom 10. Wiring, outlets, witching & exit signs, emergency lights, light fixtures, electric heaters, & supply power to the new HVAC units 11. Upgrade & extend existing fire alarm, additional pull stations & door holders 12. Upgrade existing HVAC for restaurant on 1st floor & new HFAC units for courtroom on 2nd floor as well as elevator and related spaces 13. New plumbing fixtures, relates water supply & drains Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Contract term: December 31, 2019 w/option to extend if necessary Proposals must be accompanied by a satisfactory BID BOND for 5% of the proposal. The Owner reserves the right to WAIVE all formalities and reject or accept any or all proposals. Proposals must be submitted on the form provided by the Owner. Any modification of the proposal pages or text will result in rejection of the proposal. A Payment and Performance Bond are not required for projects under $25,000. Projects in excess of $25,000 require a 100% performance and payment bond. A letter of intent from the bonding company must be submitted with your bid if it exceeds $25,000 nsurance coverage must be provided including Builders Risk Insurance, General Liability Insurance in the amounts of $1,000,000/2,000,000 as well as Statutory Workers Compensation Insurance and Automobile insurance. In lieu of a performance bond other forms of security may be provided: a. A cash deposit in the amount of 50% of the bid b. An irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of 100 % of the bid amount Bidders should be advised that, prior to award of any contract, the Village reserves the right to conduct a pre-award survey for the purpose of determining the bidder's responsibility and capacity to perform the contract. This survey may include review of subcontracting agreements, financial capacity and quality of work performed in other contracts. Award of the contracts will be made to the lowest responsible bidder of each group (General Construction, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical contractors) who submitted a complete and itemized bid for the project. The Village reserves the right to deduct specific line items from the bids in the event the sum of the lowest bidders exceeds the available funding. Attention is called to the provision for Equal Employment Opportunity and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages. Bidders take note, Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids for this construction project. Prevailing wage rates are in effect and the Wick's Law applies to the contracts. For competitive bids involving New York State funds, the State now requires bidders to certify their business has implemented a written policy addressing sexual harassment prevention in the workplace and provides annual training toward such for all of its employees. A State agency or department may, at its discretion, also require compliance with the certification requirement even when competitive bidding is not required. This project is sales tax exempt.
