Project Description of Work The project involves land development of approximately 1 acre, construction of convenience center to include site grading, stormwater drainage and erosion control systems. The project is located at Union County Operations Center property, 4600 Goldmine Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Goldmine Convenience Center is being developed to serve as the new location in place of the existing Sun Valley Convenience Center located on Wesley Chapel Road in Union County. The new convenience center will continue to be operated by Union County and will offer the same services. The new site will be include gravel paving, two light-duty concrete slabs, and one heavy-duty concrete slab. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Union County Procurement Division offices at 500 North Main Street, Suite 709, Monroe, North Carolina and Union County Public Works, Suite 500 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bid documents may also be examined online Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bidders must have a license to do work as a general contractor in the State of North Carolina, as set forth under Article 1 of Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Contractor's North Carolina License number shall be designated on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. Bidders are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
