Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in South Bend, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a residential development.
Work includes construction of four separate divisions at the Property, all more particularly described in plans and specifications prepared by Cressy Commercial Real Estate, phone 574-271-4060. Contractors are invited to bid on individual Divisions or multiple Divisions, including alternates as outlined per each Division. The successful Bid provider shall supply the following bonds: a. Payment Bond within seven (7) days of Notification of Award for an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. b. Performance Bond within seven (7) days of Notification of Award for an amount equal to one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the contract amount. c. Maintenance bond within ten (10) days of acceptance of the project by the City of South Bend, for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the final contract price, guaranteeing for a period of three (3) years after the date of acceptance of the project by the City of South Bend. The Four Divisions are as follows: Division A: Overlay barrel roof on 315 W. Jefferson (not the roof on 319 W. Jefferson). **AWARD: Slatile Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. $55,812** Division B: Exterior Masonry Repair and Coating. **AWARD: Ziolkowski Construction Inc. $39,574** Division C: Parking lot repair and replacement. **AWARD: Walsh & Kelly, Inc. $45,989; base bid plus alternate 1** Division D: Electrical work. **BIDS REJECTED** Alternate 1: Curb and Sidewalk Replacement Each bidder or contractor (hereinafter the contractor) must comply with City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization included in the specifications as to each construction trade it intends to use on this construction contract and all other construction work (both federal and non-federal) in the St. Joseph County area during the performance of this contract or subcontract. The contractor commits itself to the goals for minority manpower and all other requirements, terms and conditions of these bid conditions by submitting a properly sealed bid. Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (W/MBE) are encouraged to respond to this notification. It is the sole responsibility of the potential bidder to comply with all submission requirements applicable to the bidder in Section 6-63 of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance no later than the date of the public bid opening. Please note: The City reserves the right to request supplemental information provided by the bidder, and may also conduct random inquiries of the bidders current and previous customers regardless of pre-qualified status. Any questions about bidding conditions must be addressed to the Owner in writing no later than 5:00 p.m. Local Time on August 7th. There will be a non-refundable charge for reproduction as set by ARC for every set of documents for all bidders. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept a full or partial award of the bid or bids which, in its judgment, will be to the best interests of the City of South Bend. If the Board elects to award the base bid plus an alternate(s), the Board will look at the totality of the cost when determining the lowest, responsive and responsible bid. The buildings located at 315 W. Jefferson Blvd (with a county id of 018-3010-0356) and 319 W. Jefferson Blvd (with a county id of 018-3010-0354) and the parking lots with a county id of 018-3010-0345, 018-3010-035401, 018-3009-0293, 018-3009- 0294, and 018-3009-029101; all located in South Bend, Indiana (the "Property")
