This project involves construction of a 10'x3' reinforced concrete box culvert that would convey flow under Kaunakakai Place and parallel to Maunaloa Highway to an outlet structure and energy dissipation basin south of the sewer lift station. A reinforced concrete floodwall will be constructed around the sewer lift station and an earthen berm will be constructed along the eastern edge of the existing wetlands. Additional project elements include utility relocations and earthwork associated with the proposed drainage improvements. To be eligible for award, bidders must be licensed in accordance with Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of contractors.
