Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Elkton, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will include, but not limited to, drainage improvements, removal of existing concrete curbing and construction of new concrete curbing, milling of existing asphalt and placement of new asphalt overlay, signage, pavement markings, and lighting improvements. The project will be completed with both partial closures of the existing parking lot and access roads, to full closure of the parking lot to complete the work, and associateed work to complete the project. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or an acceptable bid bond of the bidder, payable to the order of Cecil County, Maryland, for five (5) percent of the total cost excluding contingencies, which will be forfeited to the County as liquidated damages in case an award is made and the Contract and Bond are not promptly and properly executed as required within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract The Contract Payment and Contract Performance Bond are each to be in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract amount. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The completion time for this Contract shall be a maximum of 84 calendar days and shall begin on the actual start date of the Project as per “Notice to Proceed”.
