For this project, the village of mount pleasant will only be receiving and accepting bids for the pike river erosion repairs. Pike river erosion repairs consists of streambank erosion repairs at 12 sites along the pike river from approximately 1,800 feet north of braun road to county line road (cth kr). A summary of the proposed improvements includes: excavation and grading, installing tied concrete block mat and field stone riprap, installing culverts, asphalt path replacement, and restoration with prairie and wetland seed mixes. Major work items and approximate base bid quantities include: 12,000 square feet of tied concrete block mat, 550 cubic yards of excavation common, 68 lineal feet of 19"x30" rcp, 40 feet of 24" hdpe pipe and 4,900 square yards of prairie seeding restoration. \ this is a unit price contract. The estimated quantities as indicated above are provided for the purpose of characterizing the project extent. The contract letting shall be subject to the provisions of sections 61.54 and 66.0901 of the wisconsin statutes. \ bids shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check made payable to the owner in an amount of five (5) percent of the bidder's maximum bid price. If the successful bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish the required bonds within 15 days after the award, the bid security shall be forfeited to owner as liquidated damages. \ bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and all blanks must be filled in for the bid to be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days from the date of the bid opening. Therefore, all bidders and subcontractors that did not submit an application form for bidding on a project after the above date, must submit a new application form and $75.00 application fee in order to be considered for this project. \ the owner has the right to reject any and/or all bids received, to waive any minor defects or irregularities that may be found in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the owner, subject to the provisions of sections 62.15 and 66.0901 of the wisconsin statutes. \ bidder awarded a contract for the work shall be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in the full amount of the contract price.
