As of January 23, 2024, a general contractor has been awarded and construction is underway. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: **IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO BID ON THIS PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE OBTAINED DIRECTLY FROM THE ARCHITECT.** The Town of Rockport (Owner) is soliciting proposals for the construction of a new Fire Station building located at 624 West Street (at intersection of Routes 90 and 17), Rockport, Maine. The one story, wood framed, +/-6,000 sf facility will consist of: Vehicle bay accommodating up to (4) emergency vehicles, Offices, Sleeping Rooms, Shower Rooms, Meeting Room, and miscellaneous Storage and Utility Rooms. The structure consists of a wood frame, slab-on-grade floors, and pre-engineered wood truss roof. 2A architects, llc of Rockport, Maine, Gartley & Dorsky Engineering & Surveying of Rockport, Maine (Survey, Civil, Structural, and Mechanical / Plumbing), and Bennett Engineering of Freeport, Maine (Electrical) have developed the project Bid Drawings and Specifications to meet the Town's desired programmatic and design characteristics. The design team will be engaged in the project throughout the bidding and construction process.
