Each bid shall be in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, identified as Bid 2C20-034 Replacement of Ceiling Tile Grid at Northeast Middle School. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. No Bid Bond is required for submission of a bid for this scope of work. The following is the project scope based on the available information and documentation pertaining to Northeast Middle School, 530 Stevens Street, Bristol, CT 06010. The partial ceiling replacement project consists of the removal and replacement of existing ceiling grid and tile in the rooms outlined in the contract documents. Existing light fixtures, diffusers, grilles, conduit, sprinkler heads, power receptacles, fire alarm devices, technology related devices, and any other ceiling mounted devices shall remain in place during construction. The contractor shall take necessary measures and precautions to maintain existing services and temporarily secure devices that rely on the ceiling grid and tile system for support. All work under the Contract is to be completed no later than April 20, 2020. Liquidated damages of Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars shall be paid by the Contractor to the City for each and every calendar day after the expiration of the contract days hereinbefore specified. Bidders are advised that all work must be completed no later than March 31, 2020. All work under the Contract is to be completed no later than August 21, 2020
