Furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to replace the existing 4-inch Water Main and other noted Appurtenances within Applegate Street between Elm Street and Graham Street with a new 8-inch Water Main Service Line, New Service Laterals, New Radio Read Meters, and (2) new Fire Hydrants. Additionally, this project will replace the existing 2-inch Water Main in the Spur off of "M" Street with a new 6-inch Water Main, (1) one new Fire Hydrant and (2) New Service Laterals with (2) New Radio Read Meters servicing the existing homes. Prequalification Required: Y THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE BY MEANS OF THIS PROJECT WILL BE REPLACING THE EXISTING 4" WATER MAIN AND OTHER NOTED APPURTENANCES WITHIN APPLEGATE STREET WITH A NEW 8" WATER MAIN SERVICE LINE, NEW SERVICE LATERALS, NEW METERS, AND TWO (2) NEW FIRE HYDRANTS. ADDITIONALLY THIS PROJECT WILL REPLACE THE EXISTING 2" WATER MAIN IN THE SPUR OFF OF "M" STREET WITH A NEW 6" WATER MAIN, (1) ONE NEW FIRE HYDRANT AND NEW WATER SERVICE LATERALS TO THE EXISTING HOMES. CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE ALL NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS SO AS NOT CAUSE AN INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN A (4) HOUR PERIOD TO THE RESIDENCES RELIANT ON WATER SERVICE WITHIN THE PROJECT IMPACT AREA. IT IS THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT TO MAINTAIN WATER SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE WITH SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS NOT EXCEEDING (4) HOURS IN ONE CALENDAR DAY. ALL NECESSARY SHUT OFF OF WATER SERVICE SHALL BE DONE SO WITH A MINIMUM OF 48 HOUR NOTICE TO AFFECTED HOME OWNERS PER PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS.
