Asphalt dig-out patching of approximately 500 sq yds, crack sealing including curb lines of approximately 5,000 ln ft, and slurry seal of approximately 7,200 sq yds of existing residential streets from qualified contractors licensed in the State of Oregon. The bid award will be based on a lump sum price.
Construction shall include the saw-cutting and removal of asphalt surfacing, base rock and weak subgrade, compaction, new base rock and asphalt. The remaining work will involve street sweeping/cleaning, curb-line weed removal, crack and curb line sealing, and Type II slurry seal application of the identified residential road segments identified. Staff is available for consultation if desired. Quantities are estimates only, contractor encouraged to field verify quantities and measurements prior to submittal.
Traffic control is a major element to this projects success and the directing of residential traffic. Prior to the commencement of work, a traffic control plan will need to be submitted and approved by City Public Works. The City wishes to closely coordinate the work with the contractor and the notification of the residents which can best be accomplished by a preconstruction meeting at least 10 days prior to commencing work. A schedule for the project will be provided by the contractor to assist with disseminating information to our residents. Work hours will be limited to between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of Wednesday. Saturday work will require prior request by the contractor and approval by City Manager. Documentation and inspection shall be performed by City staff. Award of Contract August 15, 2019
