Renovation of a detention facility in Marcy, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY) is seeking Expressions of Interests (EOI) from Construction Management firms to provide design phase, bid phase, construction phase and administration of general conditions for the renovation of approximately 400,000 square feet, including the construction of site infrastructure and utilities, for Buildings 39 and 77 at the NYS Office of Mental Health's Central New York Psychiatric Center located at 9005 Old River Road, Marcy, NY It is anticipated the renovation will include the abatement of hazardous materials and the replacement of approximately 1,450 windows, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and roofing systems. Program spaces within the scope of renovations include patient/ resident medical services, bedrooms, common spaces, dining facilities and staff spaces. The buildings will be occupied throughout the entire duration of construction. A phasing plan has been developed to relocate patients and staff to unoccupied wards within Building 39 with the objective of moving occupants to renovated space in a single move.Interested firms must possess substantial experience on major capital projects for both new construction and renovations specifically involving mental health, mental health residential and healthcare programs with a construction value greater than $100 million. Prior experience involving LEED certified projects and the use of Building Information Modeling Software (BIM) is also required. Please note that while no final determination has been made at this stage, the aspirational goals for the proposed contract are 2% MBE, 2% WBE, or 4% Combined MWBE and 2% SDVOB. The goals refer to the percentage of utilization of your M/WBE and SDVOB sub-consultants. Explain firm's anticipated approach to maximizing M/WBE and SDVOB participation in both the design and construction phases of the Project and provide summaries showing the firm's and the subconsultants performance meeting M/WBE and SDVOB goals on past projects. Contract term: 6 years Based on the information received, the firms deemed qualified by review of their respective EOI's will be short-listed and issued a request for proposal (RFP).
