Renovation of a mixed-use development in N Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.
Questions about this solicitation must be emailed and received by the Division of Purchases at doa.purquestions3@purchasing.ri.gov no later than Tuesday, August 13, 2019, 5:00 PM, in a Microsoft Word attachment with the corresponding solicitation number. Questions, if any, and responses will be posted on the Division of Purchases portal The project scope includes the renovation of the Fogarty lab #227 to host a combination of existing and new equipment along with a new walk in refrigerator. New layout of lab casework and benches and the addition of an emergency shower and eye wash station. The doors leading into the lab will be brought up to code clearance and hardware requirements. The existing floor mounted reverse osmosis system and its associated metal drain pan will be demolished in its entirety. The metal drain pan on the East side of the room will be reconfigured for the new layout and to allow for the proper door clearance-requirements. The demolition of a self-contained walk-in cold room in lab 214 for the creation of a dedicated organism growth lab with a new plant growth chamber along with lab casework. The scope of work in the room will include a new partition wall to delineate this space from the existing lab and new ceiling, HVAC, and lighting layout in the space. Final Completion: 12/31/19
