Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
During routine maintenance, it was discovered that there were burnt wires and evidence of excessive heating in the light fixtures and junction boxes for the Hallway fixtures on the 1st Floor; approximately 50 units, possibly more, were found during investigation. Immediate repairs to the conductors and fixtures that have been damaged is needed to address potential shock and fire risks.
