Renovation of a municipal facility in Summer Beaver, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Upgrades to Ontario Government Building (B21322) in Moosonee for replacement the asphalt shingled roof. The scope includes the replacement of the typical nailed asphalt tab style shingles (approximately 10,255 sq. ft.) and install a suitable rainwater drainage system. Replacement of the shingles will prevent any possible water ingress or further penetration which will prevent any ongoing maintenance that might arise, and the installation of the drainage systems will allow for the water to drain away effectively. The roof was installed in 2000 with a lifetime of 20 years. There is no heritage component. The roof vents are to be replaced as required. Water shield is to be applied on the entire section of roof being replaced. Provide eavestroughs and downspouts in sections of roof being replaced that currently do not have any. Ensure that new drainage downspouts are directed away from the building. The existing fascia and soffit are to remain. This project will be bundled with 1065504 Central Air Handling Unit Renewal. TIMELINE: Project manager does not release successful consultant for publication. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
