Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hanahan, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The Commissioners of Public Works of the City of Charleston, South Carolina, is requesting interested Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) Contractors to complete a Statement of Qualifications for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for construction of the Edisto Intake Improvements project. The RFQ is the first step of a two-step selection process with shortlisted CMAR Contractors receiving a Request for Proposal (RFP). Neither the Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of the Application, including any Addenda, obtained from any other source. The Work to be performed consists of modifications to CWSs existing raw water intake facility located on the Edisto River in Givhans, South Carolina as well as improvements to four (4) tunnel shafts in various locations along the approximately 22-mile tunnel between the intake and the Hanahan Water Treatment Plant (HWTP). Inspection of four (4) shafts at the HWTP and limited tunnel inspections are included in the scope as well. Improvements at the intake include replacement of existing tunnel gates with mechanically operated gates, installation of a SCADA system, and site improvements for upgrade, safety, and security. Improvements at the shafts include structural inspection and removal or replacement of tunnel gates.
