Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Saint James, New York. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for the construction of a water / sewer project.
This capital project will fund reconstruction of the existing sewage treatment plant (STP) which is over 40 years old and add a denitrification filter and upgrade the chemical tanks and containment system. Other improvement include cleaning or replacing buried recharge pools. As of April 22, 2024, this project is currently in Suffolk County's FY 2024-2026 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed.
