Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Aberdeen, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 27,000-square-foot municipal facility; for the addition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; service station / car wash facility; and 8,400-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility.
Harford County, Maryland is seeking a qualified contractor for the construction of the Sheriff's Office Central Precinct and Training Academy. The project consists of a complete renovation to two existing buildings, new building additions, a pre-engineered metal building, and a fueling station. The two existing buildings total approximately 27,000 square feet of complete renovation including all finishes, some structural repairs such as underpinning, envelope repairs including metal roof remediation and masonry repointing, a new 4 pipe VAV HVAC system, package roof top units, sprinkler, fire alarm, low voltage work to include security/access controls/CCTV. New construction additions to the facility that include a vestibule to connect the existing structures, an enclosed vehicular sally port, and fitness center total approximately 8,100 square feet combined. The new pre-engineered metal building to be used as a Tactical Garage is approximately 8,400 square feet with 5 vehicle bays, a restroom, storage area, and a radiant floor system. The proposed Fuel Dispensing Station will include two (2) 20,000Gal underground tanks for unleaded and diesel fuel, DEF storage and dispenser, a free-standing metal canopy, and separate storage/restroom building. The project is located at 1201 Technology Drive, Aberdeen, MD 21001. The project includes approximately 3 acres of site development. Harford County plans to complete this special prequalification process by the end of September 2022. Distribution of bid documents is scheduled on or about November 1, 2022. Award is anticipated in January 2023 and the project is expected to be Substantially Complete with at minimum a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy issued no later than February 15, 2024. Final Completion must be achieved on or before March 29, 2024. This Final Completion date will not change. An incentive/disincentive clause will be outlined in the final bid documents.
