Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Bound Brook, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the addition of a 16,700-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Last day of questions-Thursday, September 5, 2019 later than noon (12:00PM prevailing time). The work consists of: 1. The construction of an approximately 16,700 sf, 2-story classroom addition. 2. All associated MEP and site work required for the completion of this project. Total Bid period- 4-Weeks Only on-street parking is available. Prospective bidders need to allow themselves adequate time to find narkirte and submit their bid packages prior to the designated time. Bids will be received for the following contracts, in accordance withN.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18: SINGLE CONTRACT BID: CONTRACT NO.l Includes all work and materials required to complete the Workoutlined in Contract Documents Bidders shall use complete sets ofBidding Documents in preparing Bids. Neither the Owner nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security deposit of an amount equal to at least ten (10%) percent of the amount ofthe base bid, but not in excess of $20,000, the deposit may be either a certified check or cashier's check drawn on an incorporated bank or trust company payable to the order of the Owner, or a bid bond in favor ofthe Owner as a guarantee that, in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will execute such contract. Upon failure to do so, the bid security will become liable up to its full amount for any difference between the amount of his bid and the Contract which the Owner may be obliged to award another bidder or bidders. The bid security deposits of all excepting the three lowest bidders will, ifrequested, be returned after ten (10) days from the opening of bids, Sundays and holidays excepted, and the remaining deposits will be returned when the contract ofthe successful bidder is approved. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount ofthe contract sum. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids. Attention ofthe bidders is called particularly to the requirements of conditions of employment and to the minimum prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract as stated in the Instructions to Bidders, the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, and the Supplementary General Conditions. Bidders are required to comply with the "Affirmative Action" requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and (NJ.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.). Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et Seq. and New Jersey Public School Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with The Public Works Contractor Registration Act requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period ofsixty (60) days after the actual date ofthe opening thereof. All addenda will be issued compliance with New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law and New Jersey Public Contracts Law. Any requests for clarification or interpretation must be in writing and in the office ofthe Architect no later than noon (12:00 p.m. prevailing time) on Thursday, September 5, 2019 without exceptions.
