The Work includes replacement of approximately 61,776 square feet of new roofing. The work on Roof A will include demolition 14,804 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 14,804 square feet of EPDM roofing. The work on Roof B will include demolition 8,814 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 8,814 square feet of EPDM roofing. The work on Roof C will include demolition 785 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 785 square feet of EPDM roofing. The work on Roof D will include demolition 2,069 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 2,069 square feet of EPDM roofing. The work on Roof E will include demolition 1,850 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 1,850 square feet of EPDM roofing. The work on Roof F will include demolition of 2,377 square feet of BUR roofing replaced with 2,377 square feet of EPDM roofing. Upon removal of the existing roofing, the roof deck will be inspected for damaged areas. Damaged wood, lightweight concrete or metal decking will be replaced per the approval and direction of Harford County Public Schools representatives and the Architect. Upon completion of the deck replacement, new rigid insulation will be installed on the roofs at a minimum slope of ¼ inch. An EPDM roof will be installed over the rigid insulation. All roof drains, flashings, counter flashings, expansion joints, downspouts, etc. will be replaced on the roofs, per the drawings.
