These specifications shall cover the asbestos abatement of all flooringand adhesive found within the Regional WWTP Administrative Building.The Bidding Contractor shall be responsible of proper removal and disposal of all linoleum flooring, vinyl floor tile, laminated simulated wood flooring, and all flooring mastic.The attached floor plan outlines the areas requiring asbestos abatement. It is estimated to be 4,950 square feet. The Bidding Contractor is responsible for confirmingthe total square feet of required asbestos abatement.The removal of the floor tile and mastic shall take place in two (2) separate trips. The first trip is to address the Wastewater Lab, Laboratory Supervisors Office, Mens Restroom, Chemical Room and the small hallway in front of those rooms. The second trip will address the remainder of the areas.The disposal of the flooring and mastic shall be in plastic bags suitable for hazardous waste clean-up and be removed from the site and disposed of as required by the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ). The entire abatement area shall be vacuumed using HEPA Filter vacuum filters after the removal all contaminated flooring and mastic.A final air testing clearance tests shall be performed on the two (2) separate containment work areas in accordance with ADEQ Arkansas Regulation 21.All quotes shall include a copy their license, proof of insurance andbebonded for this project.The Bidding Contractor shall be responsible for filing reports with all agencies to meet compliance standards with ADEQ, Federal and State laws applicable to this project.
