This project is for the construction of a five foot sidewalk along the south side of Simmons Street and Huntertown Road between Bell Court and Paddock Drive/Hillary Terrace in Versailles, Kentucky. The project includes grading, drainage modifications and retaining walls. The project also includes reconstruction of some fences, creation of crosswalks and erection of pedestrian signage for the crosswalks. Geographic Coordinates Latitude 38:02:30.36 Longitude 84:42:50.46 A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding. The Owner, upon making a determination to award, shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. This project will be funded in part by a Federal Grant administered through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Office of Local Programs. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, possess a Certificate of Eligibility, and be registered to do business in Woodford County at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. All bidders shall comply with the President's Executive Order 11246 as amended, which prohibits discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin.
