Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Evansville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Work for which bids are to be received consists of the following: Furnishing and installing Biological Aerated Filter (BAF) wastewater treatment system with a new BAF building (Building 61); Furnishing and installing a new ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system (Building 74); Furnishing and installing inline grinders, cyclone degritters, rotary drum thickeners, belt conveyor, primary sludge pumps, thickened sludge pumps, polymer feed system, odor control system, controls, and all associated piping, appurtenances, and building systems in a new Primary Sludge Degritting Building (Building 79); Addition of new Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) Channels with compressed gas mixing system (Structure 63); Addition of new Sidestream storage tank (Structure 87) with new sidestream pumps (Building 79) and a new waste gas burner; Plant water improvements including a new hydroneumatic tank and plant water pumps (Building 74 and tunnel); Temporary systems: chlorination and de-chlorination, plant water, bypass pumping; Rehabilitation of final effluent piping; Site electrical improvements including demolition, new 12.5kV switchgears, new 480V switchgears; transformers Site improvements including a new construction access road, new plant roadways, and repaving; o Stormwater and grading improvements and site restoration; Hydraulic improvements including replacing plant influent flow meter, raising primary clarifier 1 and 2 effluent weirs, adding primary influent structure, upsizing aeration influent piping; Demolition and miscellaneous improvements described in the Contract Documents. Work shall also include all supervision, equipment, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control, traffic control, granular backfill, testing and all appurtenances necessary to complete the work shown in the drawings and specifications. All work must be ready for satisfactory and continuous operation, in accordance with the plan and specifications The above referenced project description includes items that are part of the Itemized Base Bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for all work shown on the plans and described in the specifications pertaining to the Itemized Base Bid, regardless of the installation method chosen. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be funded by a State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, administered by the Indiana Finance Authority (IFA). The Contractor to whom the work is awarded shall comply with all requirements of said agencies. Where conflict exists between this specification and the federal agency specifications, the more stringent shall apply. Neither the United States nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting contract. This procedure will be subject to all requirements of said agencies. The SRF program has participation goals for minority (MBE), and women owned (WBE) business enterprises. As this project is funded by the SRF, the Contractor is expected to comply with all applicable MBE/WBE participation requirements. The Contractor is required to show a positive effort for MBE/WBE solicitation. Contractors and subcontractors are required to pay in accordance with Davis-Bacon requirements. Wage rates on the project shall not be less than the federal wage scale published by the U.S. Department of Labor available on the day of bid. Information explaining other prevailing wage laws which apply to this work is also contained in these specifications.
