Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Manassas, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.

Prince William County Service Authority is accepting competitive sealed bids from qualified Contractors for the Manassas Southside WST Rehabilitation project. Provide all materials, equipment and labor necessary for the construction of Manassas Southside WST Rehabilitation. The work includes, but is not limited to performance of the following: 1. Mobilization. 2. Structural Replacements a. Remove fifteen (15) rusted ladder rungs and rusted overflow brackets. b. Purchase and install shrouded Overflow Safety Valve on overflow pipe and purchase and install duckbill-type check valve backflow preventer to the overflow pipe. 3. Structural Modifications a. Purchase and install two (2) new grab rails at roof manways at interior dry access tube. b. Furnish and install brackets for thermal probes on tank bowl interior. c. Furnish and install exterior cable conduit access opening and cable brackets. 4. Pit and Surface Repairs. a. Perform surface repairs on three (3) pitted areas in the drywell (wet-side) surfaces below the High Water Level noted on the drawings. 5. Full protection of all existing electrical and mechanical equipment. 6. Containment System a. Full (100 percent) tank containment system with dust control and ventilation. b. Hazardous and non-hazardous material waste collection and disposal. 7. Interior Dry Surfaces - Spot blast or power-tool surface preparation and coating. 8. Interior Wet Surfaces - Abrasive blast & coating. 9. Exterior Surfaces - Pressure wash surface preparation & coating. 10. Anti-Graffiti Coating - Surface preparation and coating of on bottom ten (10) feet of the exterior base of tank. 11. Interior concrete floor - Preparation and coating. 12. Concrete repair - Exterior tank base. Repair concrete masonry and deteriorating grout on the tank foundation all the way around the tank base. 13. Furnish and apply Two Sided Prince William County logo on finished tank. 14. Replacement of all interior lights with light-emitting diode bulbs. 15. Furnish and install hydrodynamic mixing system. 16. Furnish and install thermal probes on tank bowl interior to include 4-20 mA signal connection to SCADA remote terminal unit and programmable logical controller. 17. Furnish and install two electric unit heaters and spray insulation on the interior dry surface below the condensate ceiling. 18. Site grading, seeding and site restoration. 19. Tank disinfection and hydraulic testing. 20. Demobilization. 21. Provide Warranty Services for two (2) years. Bidder shall submit each bid and required accompanying documents using the blank form(s) provided in this Project Manual. Please of ignorance of any conditions existing on the work-site, or difficulties encountered in the execution of the Work, or as a result of failure to make necessary investigations and examinations, will not be accepted as an excuse for any failure or omission on the part of any Bidder to properly fulfill the requirements set forth in the Contract Documents.
